Location: Gloucester – site based 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Full time
Salary: £60,000 - £85,000 per annum + £6.7k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits
As a Senior Planner at Kier, you will be at the heart of major infrastructure projects that have a life changing, driving the planning, coordination, and execution of complex project schedules. You will lead strategic planning initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success. This role is designed for a high performer who is adept at problem-solving, making data-driven decisions, and delivering superior results under pressure. Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, manage, and refine project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring seamless alignment with project objectives and delivery milestones.
* Provide strategic insights on schedule impacts of change events, proactively addressing potential disruptions and recommending mitigation strategies.
* Develop and present detailed reports to senior management, offering critical analysis and actionable intelligence to support decision-making.
* Ensure full compliance with NEC4 contract requirements, including detailed programme submissions, early warnings, and compensation event management.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the planning team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
* A driven individual who is proactive, takes ownership, and is committed to making a positive impact on the project's success.
* Experience of planning within large-scale infrastructure projects with a proven track record of success.
* A deep understanding of construction methodologies, resource planning, and risk management strategies with a strong ability to present complex data persuasively and clearly to senior stakeholders, with the confidence to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
