The post holder will work as a member of the Public Health Nursing Team (Health Visiting, School Nursing, and School Immunisation Team) to carry out a range of delegated duties assigned by the relevant professional and manager for the provision of Public Health Nursing service to the client population within the areas of responsibility. The post holder is required to support the delivery the Healthy Child Healthy Future programme (HCHF 2010) to a defined population.Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the delivery of the core Healthy Child Healthy Future (HCHF) Programme as delegated by the Specialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) e.g. 6-9 month contact, growth monitoring 0-9 years, immunisations and health appraisals.
* Undertake delegated duties which may include home visits, breast feeding and weaning support.
* Assist in the Early Intervention 3 year contact and follow up visits as delegated by SCPHN.
* Follow up defaulters child health appointment and immunisation.
Skills and Qualifications
* N.N.E.B Certificate/Diploma in Nursery Nursing or N.V.Q. level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years working within a health care setting.
