As Head of Fleet Management you will:
Drive a council‑wide fleet investment programme and ensure responsible asset disposal.
Lead centralised fleet procurement to maximise value for money.
Act as the council's Lead Transport Manager and primary contact for the Traffic Commissioner and DVSA.
Oversee the transformation of our waste operations site into a safe, modern and future‑proofed operational hub.
Champion new technologies, low‑emission strategies and data-driven fleet management.
We're looking for a senior leader who has:
A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage Operations.
Proven experience managing fleets within complex organisations.
Strong procurement, contract design and contract management expertise.
Excellent leadership and people‑management skills.
The ability to influence, negotiate and build trust across diverse services.
