We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Lift Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to forge a new career in the lift industry, with full training provided and a clear pathway towards achieving qualified status.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting Lead Engineers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of lifts, including passenger, platform, goods, and step lifts.
* Gaining hands-on experience in diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, and carrying out planned maintenance.
* To identify and report to the Lead Engineer any reliability or safety issues.
* To manage your own workload in an efficient and cost-effective manner under the supervision of the Lead Engineer
* Learning and applying technical knowledge across a broad range of skill sets, including:
* Electrical Engineering: Wiring, control systems, and fault diagnosis.
* Mechanical Engineering: Assembly, component replacement, and mechanical adjustments.
* Hydraulic Systems: Understanding and maintaining hydraulic lift operations.
* Following safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Attending training courses and completing assessments to progress towards formal qualifications.

* Show a strong interest in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic engineering.

Requirements:
* Experience in the lift and/or escalator industry is desired but not required
* Any electrical, mechanical or construction industry qualifications is desired but not mandatory
* A valid UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one) is desirable.
* Willingness to travel to different sites as part of the training.
* A good understanding of Health and Safety
* Good communication skills
