Accounts Assistant – Developments
McCarthy Stone has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant - to join their Business Developments Finance Team. This position that would ideally suit someone who is AAT qualified or a QBE applicant with relevant experience of active business partnering/stakeholder management and preparation of accounts/budgets.
This is a hybrid working role with the successful candidate being expected to work 2-3 days each week in our head office in Bournemouth going forward.
McCarthy Stone does not currently offer sponsorship. We are only able to consider those that have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week
Salary: Competitive depending upon qualifications and experience, plus bonus and benefits.
The purpose of the role:
The Development Accounts Assistant will work closely with and support the Senior and Development Accounts Business Partners in preparing accounts and budgets for a portfolio of Developments, ensuring accounting and audit queries are responded to in a timely manner. Preparing year end audit and accounting packs and assisting with reports and analysis as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of audit and year end accounts packs.
2. Assist with audit queries, responding in a timely manner.
3. Assist with the preparation of commentary and analysis
4. Assist with the preparation and distribution of budgets within the required timescale.
5. Assist with the updating of reporting information and ongoing periodic reporting and analysis
6. Assist in the preparation and distribution of year end accounts for Developments within the required timescale.
We are looking for someone who:
7. Preferably AAT qualified or a QBE or looking to undertake accounting studies.
8. Previous experience working within an accounts team would be preferable but not essential.
9. Numerate and well organized, with an attention to accuracy and detail.
10. Good competency with excel.
11. Experience of working within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
12. Working within a Customer Service environment
13. Has excellent communication skills both written and verbal
14. Can comply with strict processing and reporting requirements
15. Can multitask and deal with pressure.
16. Has a keen eye for details and for spotting patterns in data.
17. Is self-reliant.
18. Is a strong team player willing to work in a busy processing environment.
