Rotational Paediatric Physiotherapist
Band 5, fixed-term (12 months, with 20-month option) full-time (37.5 hours per week, including weekend and overnight on-call).
Location: Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, Bristol. Salary: £32,073 - £39,043 per annum (pro-rate).

Job Overview
The Physiotherapy Department is a busy unit providing services for local children and specialist care for families across the South West. This rotational post offers experience across paediatric specialties including neurosciences, acute medical and orthopaedics.
Main Duties
* Deliver assessment, diagnosis and treatment to paediatric inpatients, outpatients and specialist rotations.
* Support and assist senior physiotherapy staff in the development of the service.
* Work closely with specialist physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams to provide a regional shared-care service.
* Maintain an autonomous practice with responsibility for an inpatient and outpatient caseload, delivering individualized treatment to children with complex needs.
* Undertake all clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working independently without direct supervision.
* Maintain a Continuous Professional Development portfolio and attend CPD activities such as in-service training and relevant postgraduate courses.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
* Postgraduate experience in core acute adult specialties.
* Experience of team working.
* Previous paediatric physiotherapy experience at graduate or undergraduate level.
* Experience of working within the NHS.
Skills and Abilities
* Basic IT skills.
* Team-working ability.
* Clear and logical presentation of information, written and oral.
* Fluent English communication standards (required for Immigration Act 2016).
* Evidence of involvement in audit, research or quality improvement projects.
Qualifications and Training
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
* Broad range of clinical undergraduate experience.
* Desire to work in the paediatric environment.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Flexible and adaptable approach.
