Overview
The Revit MEP Technician will work closely with our mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers, supporting the design process by developing accurate and coordinated Revit models. This role involves translating engineering concepts into detailed BIM models and 2D drawings in accordance with RIBA Work Stages 1 to 5, while ensuring alignment with architectural and structural disciplines.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for mechanical ventilation systems
* Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for heating and cooling systems
* Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for domestic water and drainage systems
* Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for electrical infrastructure and containment
* Coordinate MEP systems with the architectural layout and structural elements
* Produce 2D documentation and schematics derived from Revit models
* Manage drawing files and adhere to document control protocols
* Input and manage COBie data within MEP models
* Work with shared and system parameters, and assist in data-rich model development
* Create and modify Revit families and system components as needed
* Generate Revit schedules and assist in producing quantity and asset data
* Maintain compliance with VZDV Revit and CAD standards
* Contribute to automation and workflow improvements using Dynamo scripts
Note: Training and support will be provided for COBie implementation, Dynamo scripting, and other specialist tools as required.
Qualifications
* Must have the right to work in the UK (British citizen or valid UK work visa)
* Relevant technical qualification, ideally a university degree or diploma in Building Services, Engineering, or a related field
* A minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience using Revit MEP in a building services environment
Desirable qualifications
* Experience using Navisworks & Revizto for clash detection and coordination
* Familiarity with COBie data structures and implementation for MEP systems
* Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2 standards

* Own transport available + valid driver’s licence

The BIM Team
The BIM team currently includes 6 members including a BIM Specialist. As part of the BIM team, the candidate will be working closely within project teams that typically consist of a director, electrical engineers and mechanical engineers.
