Job description
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is dedicated to helping young children achieve their potential within a school environment. The ideal candidate will need to have a history of supporting young / vulnerable people in a professional capacity.
Newly qualified level 2 and level 3 Teaching assistants are encouraged to apply.
Details:
1. Location- Heckmondwike
2. Position – Learning Support Assistant
3. Contract or position start date – 19/02/2024
4. Duration / Likely Duration – Contract
5. Contract type – Long-Term
6. Full time/part time – Full time
7. Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £75 per day
8. Hours – 8:30 AM – 3:45PM : Mon – Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
9. Support and scaffold work with children in the classroom.
10. Assist the Teacher with the preparation of resources through class feedback.
11. Work effectively in Partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
12. Able to adapt professional practice to support the varied needs of children.
13. Behaviour management, Using the schools behaviour policy to effectively manage students.
14. 1:1 and group support with the children
15. Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS/Primary curriculum
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
At least Level 2 trained
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
16. Hold Right to Work in the UK
17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
18. Provide two professional child related references
