We are seeking an experienced staff nurse to join our emergency department at Queens Hospital Burton. Working in our ED, you will gain experience across all areas of the department - Pitstop, Majors, Resus, Minors. As a dual ED, we serve both adults and children, and comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of care.

The ED is an exciting environment, with strong teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration ensuring all new starters feel supported and welcomed. During your induction, you will have access to various learning opportunities such as triage competency, cannulation and venipuncture, and ILS/PILs. Our dedicated education team provides in-house training, study days, and support to keep you up to date with mandatory training.
The post holder will prioritize, assess, plan, evaluate, and deliver high-standard care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team and contributing to clinical governance. You will act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff and pre-registration students, participating fully in structured competency-based programmes across all areas of the ED.
