Join My Team! – Support Worker Needed in Attleborough, Norfolk

We are looking for a part-time support worker to join our team working with our client in her home, in Attleborough, Norfolk. The role is for 13 hours per week with flexibility to also cover overnight and staff annual leave. Shifts and availability will be discussed at interview. Typical shifts are 8am-9pm, 8am-4.30 pm and 4.30pm-9pm and overnights are 9pm-8am.
About our client
She is a 30-year-old lady who is happy, sociable with a great sense of humour. She enjoys basketball and football in the garden, puzzles, games, preparing her meals, dancing to music, swimming, and going on adventures in the community or on holiday. She also loves spending time with her family and friends. She lives at home in an annexe attached to the main house with her parents and two small dogs.
She has an acquired brain injury and is a wheelchair user and also uses a walking frame to get around and has a therapeutic support plan in place. She requires a rest in the afternoon to recharge. We are looking for a confident, compassionate, caring, and positive person with good communication skills and able to make decisions and use your initiative as you will be working on your own.
The Role and Responsibilities of the job:
You’ll be helping with:
1. Supporting the development of independence with all activities
2. Daily exercises to support her activity programme including rehabilitation and hydrotherapy
3. Deliver personal care tailored to her individual needs
4. Assisting with her mobility, using moving and handling techniques and equipment safely (eg wheelchair, standing frame, bike etc)
5. Transporting our client in her own adapted Motability vehicle
6. Promoting purposeful, structured time both at home and out in the community
7. Assisting/supporting with medication administration
8. Maintain accurate digital/paper records
You’ll be working as part of a small friendly team guided by Team Leader, and parents daily and supported by a Case Manager.
Job Details
9. Location: Attleborough, Norfolk
10. Hours: 13 hours per week (rota-based, flexible)
11. Start Date: ASAP (after pre-employment checks)

Pay and other benefits:
13. Weekdays: £14.31 per hour
14. Weekends: £16.25 per hour
15. Sleeping Nights: National Living Wage currently £12.21 per hour
16. 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (pro-rata)
17. 2 weeks employer’s sick pay after probation
18. Ongoing training and support (including the Care Certificate)
19. Free DBS Check
20. Full induction
21. Regular supervision and support from Team Leader, Parents, Case Manager & HR team
Essential skills & qualities:

24. Reliability, punctuality and strong professional boundaries
25. Confident in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques

28. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
29. Experience of working with adults with special needs
30. Experience of carrying out therapy programmes
31. Ability to work additional hours, sometimes at short notice
