Prestwick Care is a successful family-run business in the North-East of England, currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to work Full-Time at Hillcrest. This is an excellent opportunity for a Care Assistant seeking the next step in their career to join Prestwick Care during a period of growth for the company.
Hillcrest is located in the historic town of Alnwick, featuring beautifully landscaped gardens and providing top-quality Nursing and Residential Care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the provision of care
2. Ensure residents retain their dignity and individuality
3. Act as a role model for other care staff
4. Build good relationships with residents
5. Assist residents with activities of daily living such as washing, dressing, eating, and bathing
6. Dispense medication and ensure accurate recording of all medication-related information (post successful completion of the Safe Handling of Medicines course)
7. Complete, observe, and review care planning needs for residents
8. Maintain accurate and legible records in line with company policies and procedures
What we are looking for:
1. Previous experience in the care industry or a genuine interest in working in care
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
3. Willingness to participate in vocational training programs
4. Satisfactory DBS check and check against the ISA list (where applicable)
