Offer description

Volunteering Development Officer

Hybrid: 37.5 hours per week (part-time considered). At least 2 days from an OSJCT office or Service

Location: Based at our new Aylesbury office (opening this autumn). We're also open to applications from people living in the other counties we work in – Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

Salary: £34,000

About the role:

At OSJCT, volunteers are important members of our teams. Our volunteers take on many different roles, helping us to connect our Services with the wider community. They share their skills and interests to support our residents in continuing the activities and pastimes that matter most to them.

In this role, you'll create tools, training, and resources that ensures volunteering is easy to access, safe to deliver, and rewarding for everyone involved. You'll support the creation of meaningful new roles, work with Marketing & PR to share inspiring volunteer stories, and help keep volunteers connected and engaged.

Using our volunteer management system Assemble, you'll help spot opportunities to improve how we work and get the best out of the system. You'll also co-develop training for colleagues who support volunteers, making sure every volunteer receives consistent, high-quality support and every service benefits fully from volunteering for the people who live with us.

This is a hybrid role based at our new Aylesbury office, opening this autumn (although we'll consider applications from those living in other regions where we work).

You'll spend time in our services across Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire, and sometimes Lincolnshire. To begin with, you'll be out and about more often as you get to know our volunteers and services, so travel across the regions may be more frequent but this will usually settle to around once a month.

We're happy to talk about flexible working patterns.

About You

You'll be someone who loves working with people and has a real passion for volunteering.

You know how to turn sector best practice into practical tools, resources, and training that make life easier and volunteering more rewarding.

Innovation excites you, and you enjoy finding fresh ways to simplify and improve how things are done.

A natural relationship-builder, you communicate in a way that inspires and connects.

Most of all, you believe in the power of volunteering and want every volunteer to have the best possible experience with us.

As a key member of the OSJCT Team you can expect benefits such as:

* Company pension
* Sick Pay
* Hybrid working
* Free onsite locations parking
* Development and progression opportunities
* "My Rewards" offering you discount on shopping, days out, restaurants and much more...

All offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS background checks.
