Role Overview:
Support the Contract Manager with the day to day delivery of a busy gas maintenance contract across Aberdeen. Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients, engineers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the gas service and maintenance programme, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, and to contract standards
* Support the Contract Manager with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for maintenance activities
* Monitor engineer performance, productivity, and compliance with industry regulations and company procedures
* Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of completed works
* Investigate and resolve service issues, complaints, and non-compliance matters
* Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing queries, resolving issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
* Review job reports, certification, and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
* Assist with managing subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to SLAs
* Contribute to contract performance reporting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Support health and safety management, including audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
* Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and service excellence across the contract
Skills & Experience
* Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
* Strong background in gas service and maintenance operations (domestic or commercial)
* Experience supervising engineers or managing field-based teams, ideally within social housing sector
* Good understanding of gas safety regulations and compliance requirements
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with the Contract Manager and wider operational team
* Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
