Job Summary
Specialist Pharmacist for Surgery – Deliver clinical pharmacy services to the surgical services and the Hampshire Orthopaedic Centre (HOC). Provide medicines optimisation, independent non‑medical prescribing and staff management.
Main Duties
* Support the development and delivery of the Clinical Pharmacy Service for surgical services, including the HOC.
* Manage staff in line with pharmacy objectives set by senior pharmacy leadership.
* Collaborate with the Lead Pharmacist for Surgery to ensure effective service provision for all surgical patients.
* Act as an independent non‑medical prescriber in a chosen specialty relevant to the surgical division.
* Ensure joint responsibility with other specialist and clinical pharmacists for overall delivery of the service under the supervision of the Lead Surgical Pharmacist.
