What you'll be doing
In the Space, Range and Location Analytics team within the UK’s leading pharmacy‑led health and beauty retailer, we design, develop and deliver data, models and insights that enable us to meet customers’ needs efficiently. The team integrates across all parts of the business, providing many opportunities to make an impact through analytics.
We’re looking for someone who can translate complex analytics into clear insights and principles. The role focuses on geospatial data exploration and tooling capabilities, supporting Boots in implementing data‑driven business solutions.
You will be supported by a diverse team of experienced peers and leaders as you meet the evolving requirements of the retail and pharmacy analytics environment.
Key Responsibilities
* You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* You are excited by taking on responsibility, leading value from data and creating insights and tools to solve business problems.
* You have relevant experience or a quantitative degree (e.g., Math, Physics, Geography, Data Science, Psychology), including statistics modules.
* You have an interest in GIS (Geographic Information Science) principles.
* You have stakeholder‑management experience and can present complex results to less technical audiences.
* You are comfortable using SQL, Python and R.
* You can balance multiple projects.
It would be great if you also have
* Experience using GIS software, especially ESRI and Alteryx.
* A demonstrable record of delivering results in a commercial or academic environment.
* Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
* Ability to deal well with ambiguity.
* Expertise with large structured and unstructured data sets, preferably in Databricks.
