Prospero Teaching are supporting a warm and welcoming primary school in the Connah’s Quay (Flintshire) area who are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting in January. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with children or vulnerable adults who is keen to develop their career in education.
The role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Working alongside the class teacher, you will assist with lessons, deliver small-group support and occasionally provide 1:1 teaching assistant guidance where required. The school are looking for someone who is calm, proactive and committed to helping children grow academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
7. Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
8. Assisting the class teacher with lessons and daily routines
9. Providing small-group interventions and teaching assistant support
10. Offering 1:1 guidance for pupils who require additional help
11. Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
12. Helping children stay focused, motivated and engaged
13. Contributing to a safe, warm and supportive classroom environment

The ideal candidate
18. Experience working with children or vulnerable adults (essential)
19. Confident, patient and able to build strong relationships
20. Good communication and interpersonal skills
21. Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to education
22. Understanding of safeguarding and school policies
