What to expect day-to-day:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CloudOps Engineer to help automate, deploy, and secure customer-facing Cloud solutions using DevSecOps practices such as automation, CI pipelines, infrastructure as code, and security.
You will work alongside Software Development, Product, and Operations teams to identify and eliminate constraints in the product lifecycle.
You will help develop monitoring and alerting for AWS-deployed platforms and software to support sustained and reliable availability of internal and production systems.
The ideal candidate will be ambitious, not afraid to take ownership, possess strong technical problem-solving skills, be collaborative with development teams, and have a passion for automating mundane areas of development and deployment. Keeping up-to-date with current technology trends is also essential.
You will work with a small, existing team but are expected to bring additional knowledge and experience to aid the company's growth and expansion.
The successful candidate must be available for participation in the on-call rotation schedule and occasional travel.
What you'll need:
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role (SRE, Cloud Infrastructure/DevOps)
* An understanding of the SDLC process
* Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Experience with container technologies (Docker or Podman)
* Experience with AWS services (VPC, Security Group, EC2, Route53, IAM, S3, AWS CLI)
* Familiarity with Continuous Integration pipelines (GitLab CI, Travis CI, etc.)
* Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Shell, Python, Ruby, etc.)
* Experience with Source Control Management (Git, SVN)
* Experience with web servers (Apache, NGINX)
* Experience producing technical and process documentation
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
Nice to have but not essential:
* Service monitoring and graphing tools (Prometheus + Grafana, Nagios, Datadog)
* Elastic Stack
* Repository solutions (JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Bintray)
* OpenVPN
* SQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
