The BRUSH Power Generation division delivers solutions that are engineered to perform, built to last, and supported for the entire lifecycle. Customers call on our solutions to meet the most challenging requirements for power generation, grid stabilisation, and decarbonisation through electrification.
Be involved in exciting and original projects
You will design and produce engineering drawings for electric machinery such as generators, synchronous condensers (SC) and motors, to the planned deadline and without errors, and to support other mechanical designers with this task.
As a, you will be responsible for:
1. Delivering engineering drawings to operations and customers. Being the subject matter expert for their area of design.
2. Being able to design all components of the generator, Synchronous Condensers and motor.
3. Supporting operations, where required, with the production of the designed components.
4. Being fully proficient in designing using 3D CAD Inventor software.
5. Guiding design draughtsmen in the department, and signing off engineering drawings as checked work.
6. Working to KPIs and objectives set by the Design Office Lead (DO Lead).
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
7. Have an Engineering HNC or HND. Engineering degree desirable.
8. Have good 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor - advantageous).
9. Have the ability to design generators / motors / SC and create customer drawings and drawings for manufacture in AutoCAD, and populate BOMs.
10. Have IT Literacy and proficiency in the use of MS Office Packages.
11. Have experience with technical international standards.
12. Have experience of designing for Hazardous Area (advantageous)
13. Have proven ability to complete projects and achieve results in an ambiguous work environment.
14. Be fluent in English and eligible to work in the UK, with no requirement for future sponsorship.
