Job overview

The inhouse HR Support Services team are looking for a part-time/job-share (3 days per week) HR Support Services Coordinator to support Managers and staff across the 6 Trust regions and coordinate the HR Support Services team to deliver our Trust objectives.

The HR Support Services Coordinator will oversee all activities relating to the processing and handling of HR and payroll forms, in line with Trust policy and NHS Terms and Conditions, under the direction of the Shared Services Manager.

Main duties of the job

This is a key role within the Trust with responsibility for delivering a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders, developing credibility in service provision through key working relationships.

Their approach will ensure that payroll paperwork is processed correctly, efficiently and to a high standard and is always responsive to the needs
of the Trust, our employees and our applicants. Strong working relationships with the Payroll and Recruitment teams will be essential to this post.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

1. EEducated to degree level, or equivalent experience in an HR or HR Payroll processing environment.
2. Must demonstrate commitment to personal and career development, eg good knowledge of Employment Law, Best Practice, regular attendance at Training or Update Sessions.

Desirable criteria

3. Graduate of Chartered Institute of CIPD (or working towards/be willing to work towards), or equivalent experience.

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria

4. Up to date knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions and experience of applying this knowledge practically.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
6. Ability to devise and present information in a range of formats, and tailor presentation approach to a variety of audiences.
7. Competent user of Electronic Staff Records (ESR), and all Microsoft Office programmes.
8. Knowledge of Agenda for Change terms and conditions
9. Working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience

Essential criteria

10. Experience of high-volume HR Payroll processing, ideally in an NHS environment.
11. Experience supervising staff.
12. Experience of planning, organising and scheduling activities for self, while working within a pressured working environment with changing and conflicting priorities.

Desirable criteria

13. Experience of implementing and monitoring systems and processes to support the delivery of an effective and efficient service.
