Job Title: Driver

Main areas of responsibility
* Collection/Delivery tasks.
o Check van to ensure it is in a roadworthy condition
o Undertake daily collections from GFS customers and deliver the freight back into
Warrington depot as instructed.
o Responsible for safe loading and unloading of the GFS van
o Inform warehouse manager as soon as possible if there are any holdups preventing you getting to your collections or deliveries.
o Driver can contact customer initially to advise of late running and inform Ops Support Team / Operations Supervisor once done
o Inform Operations Supervisor about any problems you or the customer are having.
o General warehouse duties, helping unload delivery vehicles delivering into GFS Warrington.
* Vans
o Ensure the vans are in presentable condition and cleaned once a week.
o Make visual checks of the vans, such as condition of tyres, lights, door locks and windscreen fluid level and report to Operations Supervisor as necessary. Note any warning signs on dashboard and report to Operations Supervisor.
o Take vans for servicing or repair work as and when required.
* All other reasonable requirements as specified by senior management
Education and Experience
Essential:
* Full driving licence and qualified to drive the designated GFS vehicle.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure
* Self- Motivated
* Ability to build positive relationships with customers and partner organisations
Desirable:
* FLT licence to drive GFS FLT preferred (training will be provided if necessary)
