Boston Energy is seeking a Project Engineer who is available to start immediately on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. You'll play a key role in delivering a major offshore wind commissioning project in the Northeast of England. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of a balance of plant project, working under a true "One Team" approach alongside our customer and partners.
The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will support the Technical Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of both onshore and offshore scopes. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver project documentation including RAMS, checklists, work permits, and technical processes.
* Manage tooling, consumables, and logistics to support project delivery.
* Support and oversee onshore "Mock Up" phases and offshore operations.
* Manage and coordinate technician teams, ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards.
* Drive engineering deliverables to meet schedule, quality, and reporting requirements.
* Lead quality walkdowns, reporting, and technical coordination with customers and partners.
* Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
* Support training, onboarding, and ongoing competency assessments of technician teams.
About You
We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise, proven experience in offshore wind or large-scale industrial projects, and the ability to lead from the front.
Essential:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
* Proven experience in offshore wind, heavy industry, or construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of project documentation (RAMS, MDRs, quality reports).
* Familiarity with HSE regulations and quality management systems.
* Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
* Offshore wind installation, commissioning, or remediation experience.
* Knowledge of coatings, rope access, or mechanical completion activities.
* GWO Basic Safety Training.
* Experience with SimOps management.
