Role Overview
As an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in patient safety by performing final accuracy checks on dispensed medications, ensuring compliance with procedures and legal standards. You will work alongside pharmacists, technicians, and dispensary support staff to help maintain smooth, efficient, and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out final accuracy checks on assembled prescriptions, ensuring safety and compliance with professional standards.
* Support the day-to-day dispensing process, including assembly, labelling, and stock management.
* Assist pharmacists with medicines reconciliation, patient queries, and customer service when required.
* Maintain accurate documentation and support effective stock control Essential criteria
* Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician qualification.
* NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
* At least 5 years' experience in a pharmacy environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
* Calm, professional, and caring manner, with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
