Flexibility deserves recognition - and we deliver. As a Superflex Patrol Roadside Mechanic, you'll provide the adaptability our service relies on. This role offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits, with shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Compensation and hours: £48,720 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to £54,000. On average, you'll work around 40 hours per week across the year, with your roster provided seven days in advance and core working hours confirmed three days prior. Shifts will fall between 06:00 and 02:00.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and fix roadside faults, from fault diagnostics to handling flat tyres or flat batteries.
* Manage your own kit and keep your van stocked; handle reports with precision.
* Read situations quickly and make the call on the right fix, supporting each member and keeping everyone moving.
* Provide calm, efficient service whether on a busy roadside or a quiet cul-de-sac; be an ambassador for the RAC.
* Every call-out is an opportunity to demonstrate the RAC difference.
Qualifications
* A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
* A customer-focused approach
* A full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and open to travel with overnight stays, if necessary
