Field Service Engineer (Defence / Secure Environments)Location: Woking (with some travel)Salary: Competitive + benefitsWe're looking for a Field Service Engineer to support and maintain advanced technical systems across secure and defence environments in the UK and internationally.This is a hands-on role working at the forefront of complex systems, combining elements of IT infrastructure, networking, and electronic warfare technology.The RoleYou'll play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support to customers, both on-site and remotely. This will include maintaining, repairing, and upgrading systems, supporting live environments, and ensuring equipment performs reliably in critical scenarios.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out on-site maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of complex systemsSupport customer environments during exercises, trials, and deploymentsProvide 1st/2nd line remote support for technical issuesInstall, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure (Windows Server, virtualisation, networks)Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis on hardware and systemsSupport system acceptance, testing, and training activitiesParticipate in an on-call rota for urgent support requirementsWhat We're Looking ForExperience supporting technical systems in defence or secure environmentsBackground in electronic warfare, RF systems, or similar technologiesStrong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, virtualisation)Experience working with Windows/Linux environmentsKnowledge of LAN/WAN/VLAN networking and firewallsAbility to troubleshoot complex systems and perform hardware diagnosticsAwareness of working in highly regulated, safety-critical environmentsDesirableMilitary background (e.g. signals, communications, EW)Knowledge of cryptographic systemsExperience with MoD environments and processesOther RequirementsFull UK driving licenceWillingness to travel on occasionEligibility for DV clearance (UK nationals only)Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
