Hays Education are working with a welcoming primary school in the Willenhall area who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from March. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, continuing through to the end of the academic year. Your New Role: You will take full responsibility for the Year 2 class, including: Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum Making use of allocated PPA time provided each week Using strong phonics knowledge, ideally with Read Write Inc. (RWI) training, to support early reading development Working closely with the class Teaching Assistant, particularly to adjust and tailor activities for pupils with EHCPs Attending meetings, including team meetings, parents' evenings and any required reviews Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment What You'll Need to Succeed: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2 Strong phonics knowledge; RWI training is highly desirable. Confidence in differentiating for a range of learning needs Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team A commitment to pupils' progress, wellbeing, and successful outcomes What you'll get in return Paid up to £200 per day (depending on experience) Free CV and interview advice.
