At KLA (SPTS division) we design, develop, and manufacture high-tech capital equipment for the global semiconductor markets.
Purpose of the role
As a Manufacturing Electrical Test Engineer, you’ll be part of a team that test and fault-find our machines at the end of the manufacturing process to set test procedures. Ensuring high standards are adhered to and any faults or quality issues are identified and rectified.
Salary and Hours
£28,350 plus shift premium which is 15% for 6am-2pm (week 1) and 30% for 2pm-10pm (week 2). There may also be the requirement to work on a night shift basis. This position is being recruited on a permanent basis.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
1. Installation of semi-conductor machines and equipment into test bays.
2. Running through test specifications and fault finding of live equipment (3 phase, single phase, pneumatic and fluid power).
3. Electrical and mechanical fault finding down to component level.
4. Cosmetic/functional quality control.
5. Actively working as part of a team to overcome complex issues.
6. Recording test data on in-house software.
7. Occasionally supporting the Product Groups in the development of new products.

8. Has previous experience fault finding / diagnostics / testing electrical equipment.
9. HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering is desirable but other Electrical qualifications will be considered
10. Possesses good analytical and fault-finding skills, with the ability to utilise electrical and mechanical schematics to rectify faults and defects.
11. Demonstrates strong communication – You’ll enjoy establishing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in your own and wider team.
12. Is computer literate.
