Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organised person for a newly created role to act as coordinator and developer for the new European Innovation Council-funded 'SOLARSPOON' project, working across five international partner institutions. This multifaceted role supports both scientific and administrative project activities, including communications, financial monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and event delivery. The role also calls for the development and authorship of grant applications to sustain this project and start new projects. As a central member of the team, the role holder will play a key part in driving forward collaborative research initiatives and ensuring the successful delivery of project milestones.
Responsibilities
The role involves coordinating activity across multiple partners and supporting both scientific and administrative project activities, including:
* Communications and stakeholder engagement
* Financial monitoring and budget management
* Event delivery and organisation
* Development and authorship of grant applications to sustain the project and initiate new projects
* Supporting delivery of project milestones and collaborative research initiatives
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level / level 6 vocational qualification or an equivalent level of practical experience. They will have:
* Demonstrable advanced knowledge of Project Coordination with an understanding of relevant theory and principles
* Experience in grant/project management and scientific reporting
* Experience in writing content for websites and working with budgets
* Excellent written communication skills for scientific and non-scientific documentation
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload and work independently and as part of a team
Additional information
The role is suitable for a minimum of 25 hours per week up to full time, with days and hours negotiable on appointment if part time is preferred. The funds for this post are available until 31 October 2029 in the first instance.
