About The Role: Interim Operations Manager Patient Catering PFI Hospital (6 months) As a Patient Catering Manager at OCS, you will oversee all patient catering services for our clients at a contract within the Public Sector FM market. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing catering operations, recruiting and training staff, and ensuring everyone follows Health & Safety and food hygiene standards. You will keep records up to date, handle disciplinary issues fairly, and make sure all legal requirements are met. The role also involves cost control and problem-solving, requiring you to prioritize and manage your workload effectively. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Day to day leadership of the patient catering team. Process and procedural execution within the hospital patient catering services. To recruit, train, continually develop and motivate staff in such areas as Health & Safety, dangerous equipment, basic food hygiene, pick pack and delivery of an a la carte patient meal service and any other areas which may be necessary. Maintain all records in line with legislation and company policy. Develop and maintain process trackers and accurate billing procedures that are fully auditable. Deal with disciplinary and grievance issues consistently, fairly and in line with company policy. Ensure compliance at all times, with legal requirements such as Health & Safety at Work, display of all necessary notices, accident reporting and first aid.
