Job Description
Join us as a Lead Network Engineer within the Complex Delivery team at Barclays. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more network technologies, taking ownership of end-to-end delivery across strategic programmes. Your role involves leading technical execution, ensuring alignment with architecture and compliance standards, and guiding engineers with support and progress updates to leadership.
To succeed, you should have:
* Proven experience in leading, designing, and implementing complex network solutions in regulated industries or large enterprises.
* Experience as a lead engineer on complex programmes, leading teams and providing updates to leadership.
* Industry certifications such as Cisco CCIE, Fortinet Professional, or F5 LTM/GTM at a certified technical specialist level.
Additional skills include:
* Experience with large-scale data centre infrastructure using vendors like Cisco (ACI, NXOS & NDFC), F5 (GTM & LTM), Fortinet, and Infoblox DDI.
* Design and deployment of solutions supporting end-user connectivity, including Cisco Catalyst (Wired & Wireless), Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA), and Forescout.
* Familiarity with cloud and virtualization technologies such as AWS, Azure, ESXi, VXLAN, NSX-T/V.
This role is based in our offices in Knutsford or Glasgow.

Lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions, fostering innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.
