Rehabilitation Officer Visually Impaired

Join to apply for the Rehabilitation Officer Visually Impaired role at Gloucestershire County Council.

This role is in our Sensory Team at Shire Hall, working alongside other Rehabilitation Officers and a Sensory co‑ordinator. The position is permanent, 37 hours per week, pays between £37,280 and £40,777 per annum (pro rata). Closing date is 30/11/2025, requisition number 12806, and the post is open to job‑share.

As a Rehabilitation Officer – Visual Impairment (ROVI) you will work integratedly with people who have significant sight loss to improve their choices and quality of life. You will use timely interventions to maximise long‑term independence, minimise ongoing support, and provide individuals, families and carers with information and advice on emotional, material or financial help where available.


About You

* A diploma in Rehabilitation for Visually Impaired People
* An awareness of visual and hearing impairments and the impact they can have on an individual
* Experience working in a Health & Social Care setting
* Good IT skills
