About the Role
As a Curriculum Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our strategic objectives and ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and learner experience across our Science curriculum and services. The role is full‑time, permanent, and will focus on A level Science. You will deliver high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment in line with the requirements of AQA for our A level programmes and OCR for Human Biology.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, and delivery of the Science curriculum across A level programmes.
* Deliver high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment that aligns with regulatory standards.
* Provide strategic leadership and line management for six staff members, supporting their professional development.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the college to ensure a consistent and inclusive curriculum experience.
* Mentor teachers and provide evidence‑based feedback to promote continuous improvement and learner success.
* Maintain curriculum quality, ensuring alignment with AQA/OCR requirements and internal standards.
* Support curriculum innovation and data‑driven decision making.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven success in leading teams or departments within an educational or comparable setting.
* Deep understanding of curriculum design, quality assurance, and student achievement.
* Strong strategic thinking, communication, and people‑management skills.
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective partnerships internally and externally.
* Commitment to creating inclusive and empowering learning environments.
* Proactive, strategic mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learner success.
* A relevant teaching qualification and leadership training (or willingness to obtain these) with experience in Science.
