About the Role
NEOS Engineering are working with one of the UK’s leading plant machinery companies, known for their large and modern fleet of mid-to-heavy construction equipment. Due to continued growth and high demand, they’re looking for a Mobile Plant Fitter to join their team, covering the Exeter/Plymouth area.
You’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of plant equipment out on customer sites—responding to breakdowns, performing scheduled servicing, and keeping machines operating safely and efficiently.
This role would suit experienced Plant Fitters—but we also welcome candidates from related industries such as HGV, agricultural, or military who are looking to move into the plant industry and take on more independence, overtime, and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on-site
* Perform routine servicing and maintenance on plant machinery
* Attend breakdowns across Exeter/Plymouth and surrounding areas
* Work on a variety of construction machinery: excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, etc.
* Use diagnostic tools and follow technical manuals where needed
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in mechanical maintenance or repair (plant, HGV, agri, forces, etc.)
* Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and basic electrics
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant, Agricultural, HGV or relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Able to work independently and manage your own schedule
* Eager to earn overtime and take on responsibility
* Full UK Driving Licence

* Overtime readily available – OTE £55,000 – £60,000+
