GSL Education is seeking a passionate 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a KS1 child with Autism in a warm, welcoming primary school in Harlow. This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP, perfect for someone who loves helping children thrive both academically and emotionally. ⭐ About the Role As a 1:1 SEN LSA, you will: Provide tailored support to a KS1 child with Autism, focusing on communication, engagement and emotional regulation. Follow individual EHCP targets and work closely with the SENCO, class teacher and wider support team. Use visual aids, structure, routine and positive reinforcement strategies to support learning. Help create a calm, inclusive and predictable environment where the child feels safe and confident. Assist with classroom tasks, small interventions and breaktime support when required. Build a nurturing, trusting relationship to support independence and progress. ⭐ Ideal Candidate We would love to hear from you if you have: Experience supporting children with Autism, SEN or additional needs (school, nursery or care settings welcome!) A patient, warm, understanding personality and a passion for helping children succeed Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive team A proactive, positive attitude and the confidence to use your initiative Reliability, consistency and a genuine desire to make learning fun and achievable Any training in ASD, Makaton, PECS, Team Teach or behaviour support is a bonus – but not essential! ⭐ Why This School?
