Hours: Average 42 hrs, 4 on 4 off DAYS & NIGHTS (07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00).

We are seeking a committed and proactive security professional to support safety, security, and regulatory compliance at a high‑risk GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role maintains operational integrity, prevents unauthorised access, and ensures adherence to regulatory frameworks including MHRA guidance, Home Office Controlled Drugs Licensing requirements, and GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Access Control & Site Security: Control access and egress for all staff, visitors, and contractors; monitor and enforce site security procedures and statutory regulations; conduct frequent internal and external patrols; support diversion‑prevention measures and protect regulated/controlled areas.
* Emergency & Alarm Management: Monitor fire alarms, emergency communications, and out‑of‑hours alerts; respond professionally to incidents, escalate when required; manage emergency information and assist with alarm activations.
* Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation using Excel, Word, and internal site systems; uphold GMP and regulatory standards; handle regulated processes, investigations, and compliance records with high attention to detail.
* Customer Service & Professional Conduct: Provide excellent customer service; communicate clearly (written, verbal, and radio); build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, visitors, and partners.
* Operational Performance: Demonstrate organisational skills, prioritise workload, take initiative, self‑manage tasks, solve problems, escalate issues when needed, maintain fitness for regular patrols, and adapt to site expansion.
* Protection of Property and Premises: Prevent unauthorised access; monitor alarms and CCTV; conduct patrols; manage traffic and parking; perform routine security equipment tests; handle key management; ensure equipment is maintained; maintain logbooks and visitor passes; handle lost property as per procedures.
* Health and Safety: Provide guidance to ensure safe operation; follow health and safety procedures; report hazards, incidents, and unsafe practices; keep walkways and escape routes clear; notify SOC in emergencies and assist with fire alarm investigations.
Qualifications
* A valid SIA licence.
* Strong written, verbal, and radio communication skills in English.
* Good physical fitness for regular patrols.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word (desirable).
* Customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to adding value.
* Ability to commute reliably to site.
* Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
* Right to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history.
