Role: Supply Chain Advisor
Client: BAE Systems
Location: Portsmouth
Contract: 12 months, 3-4 days per week, 37 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £15.05
About the Role Join our Warship Support Maritime Services Supply Chain team, delivering procurement and supply chain activities for a defined area. You will support the development of strategies and plans, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to meet project and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Procure materials and subcontract services, ensuring cost, quality, delivery, and export control requirements are met
* Support supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier management
* Deliver effective supplier relationship management and maintain the open order book
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
* Support risk identification and mitigation
* Ensure compliance with company policies, including quality, safety, and responsible business conduct
Skills & Experience
* Experience in procurement or supply chain
* Commercial and contractual awareness
* Understanding of MRP and Purchase to Pay processes
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* SAP experience desirable (training provided if needed)
