Role Overview
My client, a global leader in the FMCG sector, is seeking an accomplished Enterprise Solution Architect to drive a major SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation programme. This role demands deep technical and strategic expertise in data architecture, migration, and integration, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, multi-entity transformations.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the enterprise architecture vision, ensuring the successful delivery of a Bluefield or hybrid migration, while embedding compliance, scalability, and innovation into every stage of the transformation.
Responsibilities
* 1. End-to-End SAP S/4HANA Transformation Leadership
o Lead the architecture design and execution across strategy, design, migration, deployment, and post–go-live support phases.
o Define and own the target architecture for ECC → S/4HANA transition (Bluefield methodology preferred).
o Embed RISE with SAP, Clean Core principles, and Fit-to-Standard methodologies into the program.
o Oversee global, multi-country, multi-entity implementations, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.
* 2. Data Architecture & Migration Strategy
o Develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies—including archiving, carve-out, and retention frameworks.
o Utilize industry-standard tools such as SAP Data Services, SAP ILM, OpenText, and other ETL platforms.
o Balance performance, cost, and compliance while ensuring data integrity and traceability throughout the migration lifecycle.
* 3. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
o Ensure all architecture and migration decisions align with GDPR, SOx, and local fiscal and statutory regulations.
o Build compliance-by-design into data models, retention rules, and audit processes.
o Partner with risk and legal teams to proactively address regulatory requirements in system and data design.
* 4. Stakeholder Leadership & Governance
o Chair architecture boards, design authorities, and cross-functional working groups.
o Influence and engage C-level executives and senior business stakeholders to drive consensus on complex architectural decisions.
o Provide thought leadership, mentorship, and direction across business, functional, and technical teams.
o Govern solution design to maintain architectural integrity, consistency, and quality across workstreams.
* 5. Technical Breadth & Innovation
o Provide architectural oversight across SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, Integration Suite (CPI, PI/PO), custom code remediation, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
o Evaluate and implement emerging technologies within the SAP ecosystem to drive business value.
o Champion innovation by aligning SAP’s evolving roadmap (e.g., AI/ML, Sustainability, Digital Manufacturing) with business priorities.
o Maintain strong working knowledge of SAP extensibility frameworks, event-driven architectures, and API-led integrations.

* Deep understanding of SAP migration tools and methodologies.
