Key Responsibilities
* Leading and managing the Highways Maintenance and Capital Improvements team.
* Acting as the Council’s technical lead on carriageways and footways.
* Developing and implementing effective highway asset management.
* Support the management of the highways maintenance contract.
* Managing capital and revenue budgets and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
* Developing innovative strategies and engineering solutions.
* Making technical decisions regarding the impact and delivery of engineering schemes.
* Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
To qualify, you will need a relevant degree in an engineering discipline, significant experience in managing budgets and developing complex engineering projects, experience working with external consultants and private developers, and strong technical ability and professional judgement.
