Higher Level Teaching Assistant -West Monkton C of E Primary School
The Oak Partnership Trust are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for West Monkton C of E Primary School, full time on a permanent basis.
Role Overview :
In this pivotal position, you will work closely with teaching staff, contributing to planning, preparing, and delivering educational activities. You'll have the opportunity to make significant impacts on students' learning journeys by providing targeted support to individuals and groups, thereby promoting engagement, motivation, and independence.
Key Responsibilities Include :
1. Assisting in the preparation and delivery of engaging lesson plans and materials.
2. Supporting teachers in assessing the development, progress, and attainment of students.
3. Providing focused support to individual students and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
4. Contributing to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
5. Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
6. Participating in professional development opportunities to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
7. Facilitating extracurricular activities and contributing to the school community.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
13. HLTA status or equivalent, supported by relevant experience in an educational setting.

Salary: HLTA Grade 12, point 12, Actual Salary £19,618
Hours of work: 30.42 hours, Term time only
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: 20th April 2026
