Seasonal Chef position starting April 1st 2026 running through to 30th September 2026.
The Blue Hut is a beach-side café in Teignmouth, Devon. We sell internationally inspired street food and locally roasted coffee to tourists and locals alike. We pride ourselves on tasty, unique home-made food and great customer service.

We are growing our team for the 2026 season and need full or part time Chefs to run a small, busy kitchen cooking hot food to order. Mainly day shifts with no late nights are also a bonus as a Chef with a certain level of flexibility with shift patterns meaning work life balance is more attainable. We are looking for a very capable Chef who thrives under pressure and has an eye for detail, this can be a very busy kitchen.
You will be responsible for :
* Setting up the kitchen and maintaining standards of hygiene, presentation and efficiency.
* Maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced, busy environment and exceeding customer expectations.
* Modifying recipes to suit customer requests, dietary needs and allergen requirements.
* Monitoring food, stock checks and ordering.
* Working within a small team to create a positive environment where all team members can flourish.
* Building a rapport with team members and customers.
We are looking for people with experience of:
* A number of years working in professional kitchens cooking food and prepping dishes from scratch.
* Leading team members and training less experienced/new staff.
* Administration aspects of a professional kitchen, Food Hygiene law, stock control and ordering.
* Running a service, alone or in charge of a team.
The role could suit a strong Chef de Partie with a good level of experience running sections and managing team members.
