Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 NoonAs a Manufacturing Engineer with a focus on both Grinding and Forging, you will play a pivotal role in developing, standardising, and optimising manufacturing processes across both disciplines. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll support new product introductions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure best-in-class production standards. You’ll work hands-on with CNC and manual grinding equipment, forging presses, and associated tooling, while also supporting operator training and SOP development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for grinding and forging operations
Support operator training and embed best practices across departments
Conduct quality checks and ensure conformance to technical drawings
Lead process improvements and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
Operate and support mechanical presses, induction heaters, and die casting machines
Interpret and modify CAD drawings to meet design and production requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production solutions and automation integration
Provide hands-on support with hydraulic systems and mechanical fault diagnosisTechnical Expertise Required:
CNC and manual centreless grinding
Diamond dressing technology
Tool and fixture design
Forging processes including die casting, bending, and forming
Experience with nickel and alloy materials
Understanding of speeds and feeds for wheel trimming
Familiarity with ERP systems (advantageous)
SolidWorks experience (training can be provided)What We’re Looking For:
