Wellbeing and Pastoral Support Officer, Pontypool
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a caring and committed Wellbeing and Pastoral Support Officer to work within our pastoral team. We are looking for a well-organised and empathetic individual with experience of working with young people to support their wellbeing and facilitate their academic success. The role involves working with pupils and families daily to ensure attendance and positive engagement with learning. Responsibilities include liaising with outside agencies, producing progress and engagement reports, and performing administrative duties as necessary. The successful candidate will also undertake some first aid duties.
West Monmouth is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school serving Pontypool and the surrounding area. The school has an excellent reputation for academic results and pastoral care, attracting pupils from outside its traditional catchment area.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive screening process, including an Enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service, will be undertaken on all applicants.
