Speedy supplies the widest range of tools, specialist equipment and plant to support every job. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager to play a vital role within operations at our Warrington depot.
In this role, you will lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers to deliver a high-quality, consistent and cost-effective service while ensuring optimal use of assets. You will ensure KPIs are achieved, equipment is ready for hire, and all Health & Safety and Environmental standards are met at all times.
What you’ll be doing
* Managing and developing a team of multi-skilled engineers
* Ensuring KPIs are achieved and equipment availability targets are met
* Overseeing testing, servicing and repair activities across the workshop
* Maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental regulations
* Ensuring statutory training requirements are completed
* Supporting operational efficiency and contributing to our ESG – Decade to Deliver strategy
What you’ll need
* Previous supervisory experience (ideally within hire, engineering or similar)
* Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with a hands-on approach
* Formal engineering qualifications (desirable)
* Good level of computer literacy
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
