Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join our busy Purchasing department at our Head Office, in Farnborough. As a dedicated Purchasing Assistant, youll be strong at dealing with high levels of problem solving, be a team player as well as being able to work independently, with good attention to detail and outstanding communicative skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Processing purchase orders and ensuring that we are buying in at the correct price and margin. This includes call off orders being processed weekly/quarterly/fortnightly as required.
Stock management responsible for ensuring that we are utilising slow moving or deadstock before ordering, as well as ensuring that key stock lines are maintained for group deal customers.
Working with internal sales to ensure stock is being called in correctly and site orders are being placed in a timely manner.
Building relationships with suppliers and raising issues where necessary.
