Overview
Regulators globally have an increasing expectation that firms have adequate systems and controls in place to mitigate against Market Abuse Risk within Financial Markets. Trade Surveillance, alongside Communications Surveillance capabilities, are at the forefront of internal and external regulatory enquiries. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support TP ICAP’s Trade Surveillance Tech Programme.
Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver on BA tasks associated with change relating to technology, processes or people under the Trade Surveillance remit, including supporting Scila Surveillance platform.
* Elicit, understand and analyse problem statements/business requirements.
* Conduct data analysis and investigate data anomalies with upstream teams/systems.
* Create user stories with clearly defined problem statements, requirements and measurable acceptance criteria.
* Work with the Vendor/Applicable team to design solutions that meet success criteria within timeframes.
* Support QA with test scenario creation and execution.
* Coordinate and lead requirements gathering and process definition workshops with stakeholders across the firm.
* Manage effective stakeholder relationships.
* Own ongoing commitments within your area and manage expectations; escalate to PM or Product Owner where appropriate.
* Monitor and track issues, risks and dependencies and keep Team, Product Owner and Compliance informed of status.
* Act as liaison between IT & Compliance on a day-to-day basis, supporting daily queries and vendor support for upstream and downstream platforms.
Experience / Competences
Essential
* Subject Matter Expertise in Trade Surveillance and Market Abuse Risks with 5-10 years of experience.
* Solid understanding of Regulatory obligations and expectations in relation to Trade Surveillance within financial markets.
* Strong background in Data Analysis and root cause problem solving.
* Strong Business or Technical experience in a BA role in a regulated/financial context.
* Experience delivering in an Agile environment.
* Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
* Delivery-focused with a drive for best-in-class outcomes.
* Structured, logical problem-solving approach and ability to self-prioritise and influence stakeholders.
Desired
* Project Management experience in a regulated/financial context.
* Hands-on experience in alert tuning of Market risk Models.
* Experience with systems integration projects.
* Experience working with BML/XML.
* Experience working within a SAFE Agile environment.
* Familiarity with SQL, scripting and understanding database frameworks.
