We are working with a small, family-run business based in West Oxfordshire, seeking a full-time Workshop Engineer to join their friendly team. The role involves supporting customers and colleagues through a varied range of tasks, both in the field and in the workshop.
Responsibilities
* Attending customer appointments for equipment servicing, breakdowns, repairs, and part fittings
* Providing technical support to consultants in the workshop
* Assisting with general workshop duties and maintenance
* Conducting assessments for new equipment with customers
* Giving clear, accurate, and appropriate advice and recommendations
* Ensuring timely follow-up through quotes and communication after assessments
* Maintaining up-to-date records of customer orders and ensuring all work is invoiced accurately
* Responding to customer and colleague queries with professionalism and efficiency
* Carrying out other ad-hoc tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
Key Requirements
* Hands-on experience or working knowledge of mechanical and electrical products
* Strong communication skills - able to build rapport with elderly and less abled customers
* Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
* A flexible, team-focused attitude and willingness to support wherever needed
* Full UK driving licence
