We are recruiting a Complex Support Worker to support a young man with Dravet syndrome, epilepsy, a learning disability and autism. He enjoys a range of activities, especially 1990s TV shows, darts and snooker, and likes the television on in the background. You must be a confident driver as you will be driving a large mobility vehicle on country lanes and motorways with a full UK licence. We are looking for someone proactive, energetic, sociable and creative who can keep him engaged and stimulated throughout the day to support his social, emotional and physical health needs. Strong epilepsy and seizure management experience is essential, along with experience supporting people with learning disabilities to engage in a wide range of opportunities. Superior Healthcare provides round-the-clock care packages to support people living with long-term health conditions to live in the comfort and safety of their own homes. As a Community Healthcare Assistant, you join our complex care team and will work long-term with one or a small number of clients. You will benefit from a fixed rota with the option of overtime. How well support you: Superior Healthcare will provide full, paid classroom-based training when you join us and paid induction shifts and ongoing supervision support from our in-house team of nurses and supervisors. If a clients needs mean that you require extra skills (for example, if they need assistance to meet their nutritional requirements), we will provide paid, specialist training to ensure that you, as a community care assistant, can confidently support their needs and develop your own skills. If you are eager to build a rapport with one or a small number of clients within your local community, keen to broaden your skills and welcome the consistency of the work that Superior Healthcare can offer, we hope to hear from you! Shifts Monday to Sunday - long days and twilight.
