The Opportunity
Arden University is looking for skilled Associate Lecturers to support the delivery of our courses on a flexible, as‑needed basis. Work is offered on a semester basis or a task‑and‑finish basis, allowing you to accept work that fits your schedule and professional interests.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver blended‑learning and distance‑learning teaching sessions, engaging students via online platforms and providing timely feedback.
* Participate in marking and assessment, including standardisation exercises and adherence to strict deadlines.
* Supervise and guide student projects and dissertations.
* Author or revise lecture and learning content, ensuring copyright compliance.
* Contribute to meetings, peer reviews and staff development activities to maintain teaching quality.
About You
You will be an experienced lecturer with the ability to deliver high‑quality teaching and learning.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
* Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector.
* Experience delivering student‑centred teaching and, for DL roles, experience of teaching through distance learning.
* Up‑to‑date industry experience.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (or willingness to work towards it with Arden’s support).
Desirable Qualifications
* A teaching qualification.
* For teaching at postgraduate level, a postgraduate qualification or equivalent.
