Salary: Grade 4, £17,344 - £18,186 per annum.
30 hours per week, term time, working 38 weeks per year.
Permanent.
Required for 1st September 2026.
St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School is a friendly, catholic school with a nurturing ethos. We are seeking to appoint a positive, inspirational and self‑motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is suitably qualified and experienced.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a sound knowledge of working with young children in an Early Years setting;
* Have an energetic and creative approach to learning;
* Provide excellent support for the class teacher and children;
* Have strong behaviour management skills;
* Have excellent, inclusive practice including effective questioning techniques and strategies to develop children’s communication and language;
* Have high expectations for all children and be committed to enabling children to develop their full potential;
* Have a willingness to work as part of team, with excellent organisational skills, in a fast paced environment.
Essential Qualifications:
* An approved Early Years level 3 qualification (see DfE criteria);
* Basic literacy and numeracy qualifications;
* Hold a certificate in Paediatric First Aid (or be prepared to receive the training).
