About
Coordinate designated study programme delivery activities for the College, including high quality teaching, managing operational issues, exams, and timetabling. Inspire and motivate students through outstanding teaching that challenges them to excel.
Lecturers should be passionate about their subject and enthusiastic about developing students' English, Maths, and employability skills. Regular target setting and progress monitoring are essential. The successful candidate will join in September, must hold relevant catering qualifications, and have industry experience. A teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one is also required.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching, prepare materials, develop curricula, and assess student work, ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Manage course administration, including communication, problem-solving, timetable adjustments, and liaising with departments.
* Assist with student recruitment, enrolment, induction, and support, including pastoral care and academic guidance.
* Monitor attendance and performance, and implement improvement plans as needed.
* Promote English and Maths provision, monitor attendance, and support student progress.
* Participate in meetings, events, and CPD activities, and mentor new lecturers.
* Handle administrative tasks such as register marking, reports, and VLE updates.
* Engage in quality assurance and college committees.
