Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young children in their early development? A friendly and welcoming nursery in Newcastle, is seeking a Nursery Assistant to join their team in the 12–16 month room.

Position: Full-Time – Nursery Assistant (12–16 Month Room)
About the Role:
* Support the care, development, and wellbeing of children aged 12–16 months
* Assist with daily routines including feeding, nappy changes, sleep routines, and play activities
* Help create a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs
* Engage children in sensory, exploratory, and age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
* Work collaboratively with the room leader and wider nursery team
* Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families
What We’re Looking For:
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or working towards one) is desirable
* Experience working with babies or toddlers in a nursery or childcare setting
* A caring, patient, and child-focused approach
* Understanding of EYFS for under-twos, as well as safeguarding and health & safety procedures
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
